Jake is a political and economic analyst and contributing editorial columnist to CNBC.com. Jake is a frequent guest on i24 News TV, Newsmax, and the Mark Simone Show on New York’s WOR radio, and hosts the Nachum Segal Network’s “Novak Now,” a weekly, half-hour look at news that has an impact on the Jewish world and Israel.
As an executive producer at CNBC, Jake restored "The Kudlow Report" to a solid ratings beat over its primary competitor. In June 2016, he gained national attention for his CNBC.com column predicting that Donald Trump would defy the polls and win that year’s presidential election.
For Fox Business Channel, Jake created "Varney & Company," which has remained the network’s top show for more than eight years at CNN, he co-created and produced the Jack Cafferty "In the Money" program, which routinely scored winning ratings in its time slot. At New York 1, he and anchor Pat Kiernan developed the morning show in 1997 that has lasted for more than 20 years with signature segments such as the "In the Papers" report.
Jake has a bachelor’s degree from Columbia University and a master’s degree from Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism. He lives in New York with his wife and two daughters.
